So… Doctor Who Timeless Child… How to fix it:

When the Doctor regenerates to a new form, that new Doctor’s words should be “The Master lied”. And what does this do?…

What was the Master’s lie? When he told the Doctor that the Timeless Child, it wass actually the Master who is the Timeless Child. This would explain why he is always angry against the universe (it isn’t his), hates the Timelords (because of what they did to him… tortured him as a child and stole his regeneration ability), and especially hates the Doctor, yet also loves him/her… because he believes the Doctor to be Tecte'un who ‘doctored’ on him as a child and extracted his ability. Because it lasted several regenerations and Tecte'un being the only person he knew, he developed some sort of StockholmSyndrome’. This would also explain why the Timelords called him, the Timeless Child, the Master to reflect how he was the Master Plan/Template of the Timelords. So who was Tecte'un? Well we know that Timelord society was established by Rassalon, Omega, and The Other (whom the Matrix kept hidden until this episode). The Other is Tecte'un. Canon (according to some) has it that the Other was one of the original triumvirate of Timelords who tried to run from Rassalon who wanted to kill him. Now this series shows us 'Ruth’ who was hiding on earth (from Rassalon maybe, who instructed the Jadoon to capture her). At the end of the episode she leaves… but is then caught, returned to Gallefrey where she escapes by being unwound in the Looms. Many many lifetimes later, when the Doctor is first loomed, he (Hartnell) is bond to the DNA of the Other. So Hartnell isn’t actually Tecte'un, he is the reincarnation of Tecte'un/the Other. Now he might have learned this and this caused him to run away from Gallifrey… Maybe he didn’t know but had inherited the exploring nature of Tecte'un? Or maybe he was being hunted for the crimes of the Other, being the closest thing to her (as a loose ancester of sorts)? More guilt, being chased, are typical aspects of the Doctor… and this wouldn’t change the Doctor’s history, nor canon. It would also explain the Master’s mania. So who were the Morbius faces? They would have been the past regenerations of the Other, just as Ruth was. But why did the Doctor also call himself the Doctor? Because unconsciously it was how the Other was referred to because she 'played doctor’ on the Master/Timeless Child when she tortured him/her. This new revelation (when the new Doctor says “The Master lied”) could open up new stories because he would feel guilty because he was the 'heir’ to the Other. This would not change the Doctor’s origin, but would add to his perceived guilt and need to help other helpless victims… especially the Master. It would also explain how John Simm could withhold his regeneration and force his own death.

I think this works and fix all the breaks to canon and continuity… but what does anyone else think? #doctorwho
